LG Vu CU920 TV Phone (AT&T)
LG Vu CU920 TV Phone (AT&T)
Amazon Price: $0.01
Average Customer Rating: 3.5
Review (rating: 4):
I purchased the Vu on just the price ($.01 with a renewed contract) and the touch screen...with no intentions on ever using the TV feature. I still have no intentions on using the TV, but I am extremely happy with the phone and would recommend it to friends.

I am a texter -- I go through about 200 texts a day and am a pro at the keypad. With the Vu, I find it near impossible to use the keypad (I am constantly hitting the wrong button and selecting the wrong letter). I was forced to try out the keyboard, which surprisingly works great! I found it it very accurate when you "fat finger" the keys on the keyboard. I normally have medium length nails so I just use my fingernail which is the most accurate.

After a month of using the phone, I'm still getting used to how to access phone numbers whether dialed, received, or in ...
BlackBerry Bold 9000 Smartphone, Black (AT&T)
BlackBerry Bold 9000 Smartphone, Black (AT&T)
Amazon Price: $249.99
Average Customer Rating: 4.0
Review (rating: 1):
My Blackberry Bold is headed for the junk drawer...or the nearest brick wall. The battery life is terrible, and even without talking on the phone, I have to recharge mine 2-3 times a day. The Bold's software glitches sometimes make me wonder if I perhaps accidently bought mine from a joke shop. The thing is constantly rebooting.

And dont get me started about the cost of roaming. The damn thing eats megabytes by the dozen everyday, even when you are not surfing. Music sounds great, but try getting the music onto the Blackberry. Sure, possible, but not so easy. I have owned a Blackberry for years. The Bold is a complete disappointment.

I purchased this phone a year ago. I'm on my 4th phone - and it still does not work properly. Screen dies out, phone tunrs itself off when i open it, the keypad works half the time and it doesn't hold a charge. I know 2 other people with the RAZR - they are on their 2nd and 3rd phones as well, with the same problems. This phone was WAY to expensive for all these issues. My service provider will not replace the phone any more. So after all the headache i've been throuh, I asked motorola to replace my phone with a different product. They refused. I have always bought Motorola products - but NEVER AGAIN.

Beware when you order this phone from amazon.com Because if you dont like it you wont be able to return it after its shipped! I bought this phone and then found it cheaper (FREE after rebate) with another retailer. I called to find out if they price match (nope) I found out that if you phone ships from amazon you can't return it. AT&T has 30 day return policy but that only applies to items ordered from them. READ ALL the fine print before you buy!I will not buy anything from amazon.com in the future because of this phone order!

BlackBerry Storm 9530 Smartphone (Verizon Wireless)
BlackBerry Storm 9530 Smartphone (Verizon Wireless)
Amazon Price: Too low to display
Average Customer Rating: 3.0
Review (rating: 5):
Note that anyone looking to buy this phone should consider two things.

1) Most early reviews were based off of a pseudo-beta initial release of the phone software (v65). The phone has since been updated and works exceptionally well. Look for reviews AFTER 12/15/2008.

2) This phone is a powerful productivity tool, NOT a toy. For users wanting an entertainment device with plenty of games, buy the iPhone. For users wanting an unmatched phone, email client, contact/task database, all rolled into a high-res screen with sufficient multimedia ability, buy the Storm. Many reviewers are blaming the phone for their own inability. Yes, it might seem complicated at first but it gets the job done unlike any other phone. If you want a simple toy/ipod, again, look elsewhere.

Also, the iPhone vs Storm comparisons are g...

I was extremely dissappointed. After about two weeks the phone locked up on me and everytime I opened it to do anything it would freeze up on me. Note impressed. But overall I did love everything else about the phone. ONLY if it worked right.

Samsung Behold t919 Phone, Brushed Espresso (T-Mobile)
Samsung Behold t919 Phone, Brushed Espresso (T-Mobile)
Amazon Price: $149.99
Average Customer Rating: 4.0
Review (rating: 4):
I'll skip the obvious and go to my (possibly mistaken) observations-

Had the phone 2 days:

Give them credit for providing stereo headset, charger, and USB cable in the box - still don't like the non standard connector on the phone.

Camera is pretty good for a phone.

Call quality is very good.

Video player is very good. As a note to previous reviewer - You can download software from Samsung to connect your PC to your phone. This includes phone book editor, media manager and a simple but efective video converter. Many MP4s will play just by doing a "drag and drop" to the phone. The ones that don't are in an unsuported resolution (it likes 320x240). Only takes a few minutes to convert them. The software is free.

Memory card note for other reviewer - The memory card is not in a convenient location. That is intention...
Samsung Sway Phone, Silver (Verizon Wireless)
Samsung Sway Phone, Silver (Verizon Wireless)
Amazon Price: $0.01
Average Customer Rating: 4.5
Review (rating: 4):
Pros:
This phone has a really good camera. Also the screen is more vibrant than on my flip chocolate, the lg vx8600 that was replaced, so pictures look much more vibrant.

Cons:
The texting and some of the menu interface is really slow. Sometimes, the texting will be 3-5 letters behind me since i'm a fast texter. Also the battery time isn't that long. It only lasts me two days max and i don't talk long on the phone at all. If you spend a decent amount of time on the phone you will have to charge it every day. Lastly, the screen could be bigger...

Other thoughts:
If you're someone who texts a lot, prepare to be frustrated by the software being so slow. What makes it so annoying is when i'm using T9, and i forget to change the word to a different arrangement because the texting is so slow, i never see that it was on a d...

I got this phone 2 days affter launch. It is a great phone if you have internet. tomany applications use it to not have internet. The one problem i found while shopping at the MOA it set of the secerity alarm at every store except the T-Mobile store. This was the only time it had done this but has not at any local stores. So IDK. Personaly i would recomend the Samsung Behold. It is the same cost and has many more fetures.

Motorola MOTO Z9 Phone, Mahogany Red (AT&T) Version 1
Motorola MOTO Z9 Phone, Mahogany Red (AT&T) Version 1
Average Customer Rating: 3.5
Review (rating: 3):
I recently purchased this phone as part of my new contract, on Amazon.
I loved it the 3 days I had this phone after which I realized all that glitters is not gold !!

The battery cover at the back of the phone is where the problem lies. There is supposed to be a small lever located at the back of the phone, pressing which you can release the battery cover. But in my case, the back cover refused to work in sync with this lever,(which in any case is flimsy and is prone to damage sooner). Rather every time I would use the slider function of the phone the back cover would slide off too.

Needless to say, it was very annoying. I spoke to the Motorola customer servc. and they sent me a new back cover, thinking the back cover might be damaged. But the problem persisted. So I am now looking for a new phone. Its no point changing the phone as the...
