I loved my Kindle for the first few months and I think they are wonderful. But, despite the fact that I took very good care of it; it broke after about three months. I was willing to forgive that..stuff happens. And, they were very nice and sent a new one almost the next day despite the fact that it was a few days before Christmas.
However, now, two weeks later my new Kindle has stopped working and I wonder if the defect is in the design.
Of course, both times it broke I was engrossed in the book I was reading. I'm glad i didn't depend on it for my periodicals.

I have to say I was quite impressed with the store I purchased this item from. I ordered it on a Monday and it arrived Wednesday. I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I was thanked for three whole days. This product has worked like a deam and my daughter is having fun downloading games and arts and craft software. This is more than a song depot.

I purchased this as a X-mas gift for my 19 year old daughter. When I asked her what she thought of it for this review she said "I love it!" This was an upgrade from an old shuffle and it has great features like watching movies and listening to music without having to skip over songs to get to the one you want. The amount of memory is amazing.

Back in the dark ages, when I was a kid, a victrola (record player) was considered "state of the art". It played 10 inch records with one song, on each side, for a total time of about six minutes. And, then came high fidelity, then stereo, etc.
I bought the iPod for my wife to replace her aging Sony Walkman CD player. The fact hat it holds gigabytes and plays them without any moving parts is mind boggling. Sound quality is equal to my expensive component audio system. And, yes the system includes an eight-track tape deck as well as a direct drive turntable.
